Improving Metabolism

I ran across an article on Yahoo about foods that speed up metabolism. Probably nothing in there that is earth shattering but it is nice to have a reminder about stuff.

One of the best suggestions offered is to start reading the nutrition labels on the food to learn how many calories and how many servings are contained. For many snacks foods there are multiple servings per container. A label may say it contains 100 calories per serving but then there are 4 servings in the package. I've seen as many as 5 servings contained in a bag of chips that some might be considered an "individual" serving. Watch out!

As always, the best thing to do is drink plenty of water, eat fruits, vegetables and whole grains like oatmeal and get plenty of exercise. There is no magic wand for healthy living.
